Irvine has a lot of great things going for it.
It’s safe.
It has excellent schools.
There’s a lot of park space and places for recreation.
It has some nice golf courses.
And there’s a ton of diversity.
All in all, a great place to live.
Boy, do I feel like a Realtor writing that. But, as an Irvine real estate photographer, I love the fact that most of the homes I’ve photographed in Irvine have been well kept and show nicely.
The honest truth is, I have this love-hate relationship with Irvine.
As someone who enjoys unique and different architecture, Irvine is not exactly a city that caters to my style. But as someone who likes to see some of the newest developments in construction, design, master planning, and landscape architecture, I find Irvine both fascinating and wonderful—particularly the newer areas being built in Orchard Hills off of Portola Parkway and the development of the Great Park Neighborhoods like Beacon Park, Parasol Park and Pavilion Park.
Now, in these short blurbs about the different neighborhoods in Orange County, I’m not one to get too deep into how great schools are or how amazing the lifestyle is in a particular place.
That’s not really my job—but I would be remiss to skip talking about the lifestyle that comes with living in Irvine.
First off, Irvine has such a great selection of restaurants, parks, and public events to attend. It seems like there’s always something fun going on in Irvine.
The community really comes together to celebrate its heritage and diversity like no other community I’ve ever seen.
And then, there’s the fact that Irvine is pretty much the center of Orange County. No matter where you want to travel to in this county, Irvine is a great place to start from. Just a quick (hopefully) hop down the 5, the 55, or the 405 and you’re there.
So what do I enjoy photographing as an Irvine real estate photographer?
My favorite homes are, hands down, the new construction properties in the Great Park Neighborhoods.
Unique designs, lots of amenities, and a great mix of indoor and outdoor living spaces. Clearly designed for younger families, those neighborhoods reign supreme as my favorite homes to photograph—and I’ve been fortunate to have photographed quite a few of them.
Aside from the new construction in that part of town, the Woodbridge area, while older, has a nice charm to it, as do the wonderful homes around Turtle Rock and Shady Canyon.
